01

Choose what challenges you

Practice individual notes or an easy–hard–easy sequence to work on the transitions that interrupt your playing.

02

See tuning as you play

Green, yellow, and red feedback makes pitch accuracy easy to follow. Choose relaxed, standard, or strict tuning tolerance.

03

Get help when you need it

Reveal the note name or fingering for saxophone, B♭ Boehm clarinet, or flute. Assisted attempts are distinguished in your results.

02 / MAKE PROGRESS VISIBLE

Know what to
practice next.

A clear response-time chart shows which notes take longest to complete. Review tuning results, open the detailed attempts when you want them, and replay the notes that need another round.

WHAT THE TIMER MEASURESTime from the note appearing to a sustained, accepted in-tune response. It reflects reading, fingering, and playing together.

Saved session history helps you follow changes in speed and tuning accuracy over time.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Before you start.

Which instruments does Note Sniper support?

The current Android version supports B♭ tenor and soprano saxophone, E♭ alto and baritone saxophone, B♭ Boehm clarinet, and flute. Guitar, piano, and brass support are possible future additions; they are not included in the current version.

Is this a complete music course?

Note Sniper is a focused practice tool. Use it alongside lessons, ensemble practice, or your own study to work on reading individual notes, recalling fingerings, playing in tune, and improving response time.

What does it need to hear me?

An Android device running Android 8.0 or later and microphone permission. Practice in a reasonably quiet space with one instrument at a time. Background music and nearby players can affect pitch detection.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The current Android app's practice features and saved history work locally without an Internet connection. Downloading or purchasing through Google Play uses Google's services.

Can I get it for iPhone?

An iOS version is planned. It is not currently available. This site will be updated when there is a release to share.

How do I remove my practice history?

Open Android Settings, find Note Sniper under Apps, and choose Storage → Clear data or Clear storage. This resets the app's saved history and settings. Menu names vary by device.
